Masijd-e-Haram

Saudi Government is constructing Masjid-e-Haram on a massive ground, the plan is to build this mosque till 2050 to a place where more than 10 Million of the Pilgrims can perform the Hajj and Umrah duties.

There is a massive increase in rush in both the cities and ongoing construction projects are taking place in the cities. Thought visitors are facing some issues but in a long run it would be beneficial for them.

From all over the Islamic countries and throughout the world, people are reaching out to these sacred places in order to perform religious obligations. Saudi Government is making proper arrangements to facilitate these visitors in the best possible manner. Over the past several years, great construction projects were put into place in knowing the increased traffic of visitors.

The labor from all over the world, and especially from the Islamic countries is hired. In the limits of Haram non Muslims are not allowed to stay, people faced some issues in the past during the event of Hajj as there is a crowd of more than three million, and it’s difficult to facilitate all of them.

UmrahMinistry of Hajj is especially involved in all sorts of such affairs and are making recommendations to Government on the continuous need of construction and development projects in the cities. While this projected has been done, a lot more visitors will be granted Hajj Visas every year and to perform religious obligation. These construction projects will be very helpful in facilitating the pubic.

As per the news the first phase of Mataf expansion will complete before the month of Ramadan. The first phase includes Eastern side of Mataf and is parallel to the run area of Safa and Marwa. There are three phases of Mataf expansion.

Presently there are more than 4000 workers engaged in the construction and implementation processes. By the end of Ramadan there will be 8000 workers engaged in the process. The construction process will be stopped over in the month of Ramadan when the government will witness a huge number of visitors coming to the Holy city.

Deputy Head of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, Dr. Muhammad Al – Khozain said that the area of Mataf will be enlarged from 50,000 pilgrims per hour to 130,000 pilgrims per hour when the expansion project in completed. Proper arrangements have been made out to ascertain that it will not affect the ongoing Umrah season. This will be the largest ever construction project in Mataf and is undertaken during the reign of King Abdullah, the custodian of the two holy mosques.

The preliminary work started on November 15, 2013 and huge cranes were installed in the northern courtyard of Masjid-e-Haram. The research work and the planning were done by institute of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques. It provides in-depths as how to use the available space and the potential to the maximum, it also considers as how to maintain the architectural features of the Mataf while using the advanced technology.
